Help provides regular updates on the fundraising campaigns you support. You can view fundraising campaign progress reports, your donation history, and other relevant updates directly in the app.

Help will provide you with an electronic donation receipt within five business days after your donation is made. The receipt will be issued by Help Polis Inc. and will contain all information required by applicable law. You can also access information about your donations and related receipts through the Help App.

Help Polis Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Whether your donation is tax-deductible depends on applicable law and your individual circumstances. Please consult your tax adviser.

Yes, Help welcomes suggestions for new fundraisers or causes from nonprofit organizations, not individual organizers. You can submit your ideas by contacting our support team at support@helpworld.app. We regularly review community input to expand our range of supported projects.

Fundraising categories are determined based on global needs, popular causes, and feedback from participating non-profits and donors. We regularly review and update these categories to ensure they reflect current humanitarian and social issues.

The minimum donation amount is $5 or the equivalent in other supported currencies. There is generally no upper limit on donations; however, larger contributions may be subject to additional verification and compliance procedures.

Help verifies nonprofits based on criteria including geography, social goals/causes, transparency, accountability, experience with online fundraising, and alignment with our core values - before they are approved for participation on the platform. Our review process may include verification of IRS tax-exempt status through IRS records, Know Your Business (KYB) procedures, sanctions screening, and additional due diligence conducted by our team.

For organizations operating outside the United States, Help may conduct additional verification based on applicable local requirements and available nonprofit and regulatory information.

Fundraising cases are selected based on urgency, potential impact, and alignment with Help’s mission. We work closely with participating nonprofits to identify pressing needs and projects that can make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

By selecting the “Subscription Donation” option, the User authorizes recurring monthly donations of the specified amount.

The User may designate a subscription to one of the following purposes:

a. Specific Fundraising Campaign: The User may subscribe to a specific fundraising campaign. If the selected campaign is completed or closed, subsequent donations may be redirected to another active fundraising campaign supporting the same or a substantially similar cause or purpose, subject to the User’s prior consent, where required by law.

b. Specific Category of Fundraising Campaigns: The User may subscribe to a category of fundraising campaigns. Donations will be distributed among active campaigns within the selected category.

c. Help’s Administrative and Operational Support: The User may designate recurring donations to support Help’s ongoing operations and development, including administrative expenses, staff compensation, technology, platform development, and other costs associated with Help’s charitable activities and operations.

The User may cancel a subscription at any time through the account settings. The subscription will remain active until the end of the calendar day on which it is cancelled and will terminate at 11:59 p.m. UTC on that day.  Except as otherwise required by applicable law, donations already processed prior to cancellation are non-refundable.

Help is funded through a combination of fees retained from donations made through the platform, grants, corporate collaborations, and individual contributions supporting our operations. For donations made through the Help platform, Help retains a 12% fee to support its mission, operations, platform and charitable activities. In addition, Stripe, our payment processing provider, charges a separate payment processing fee. Stripe’s fee is determined by Stripe and may vary depending on factors such as the donor’s card, country, currency, and any applicable cross-border or currency conversion charges. Our estimation* of Stripe processing fee is from 2.2% to 3.5% and 84.5%-85.8% of the initial donation would be received by the targeted fundraiser after the 12% Help fee and Stripe processing fee are deducted.

Stripe's fee ranges from 2.2% to 3.5%, plus a small fixed fee (~$0.30) per transaction, which has a larger relative impact on smaller donations.

Help works with donors and nonprofit organizations across the United States and internationally. Help enables charitable solicitations only in states where Help is duly registered or otherwise authorized or exempt from registration under applicable law.
